Change your pasta game with these Gluten Free Pasta Sticks for dinner one night or at lunchtime. Not only are they fun to make, these Pasta Sticks look very appetizing, too. These can be served as delicious main meal or serve them as appetizers .. whichever way you prefer.
This recipe is of Gluten Free Pasta Sticks made with cooked pasta threaded onto wooden skewers then topped with pasta sauce, veggies, cheese and baked! Just a fun way of doing pasta. I made it gluten free, dairy free and added protein to it. There are no set quantities for the ingredients just use as much as needed.
These Pasta Sticks are great served warm or cold. However, it really should not stand for more than a couple of hours or the Pasta might go a bit rubbery.
Gluten Free Pasta
Use either penne or rigatoni pasta as they are easy to thread onto skewers do not tear easily. Cook the pasta according to the brand’s instructions and let it cool down slightly before threading onto skewers.
Dairy Free Pasta Sticks
Top the pasta with your favourite dairy free cheese, I used dairy free cheddar shreds. Use as much or as little as you like.
If for some reason you cannot find dairy free cheese, use gluten free bread crumbs to give a little crunch.
Toppings and Sauce
Use your favourite pasta sauce. For the toppings, I used a mix of different coloured peppers, mushrooms, onion and tomato, all chopped into small cubes.
I added chicken but you can add beef mince or if you want to go meatless, just leave out the meat.
How to cook Gluten Free Pasta Sticks
Bake at 350 F for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese melts. Another way you can cook this pasta can be in the air fryer again for 10 minutes.
