Cooking the chickpeas

In this recipe, I have roasted the chickpeas in the oven. You can also air fry the chickpeas instead of roasting them in the oven. The longer you roast them the crispier they will get. Make sure that you spread them out in a single layer.

I have never stored the roasted chickpeas, they just get finished off as soon as they come out of the oven but you do not need to store them in the refrigerator instead store them in a covered bowl or jar at room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1 can 540 ml chickpeas

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps

  • Sprinkle the oil and all the spices then mix. Spread into a single layer.
  • Preheat the oven to 350o F. Drain and pat dry the chickpeas. chickpeas with spices on a bowl
