homemade allergyfriendly chicken burger with toppings

Allergyfriendly Chicken Zinger Burger

Allergyfriendly Chicken Zinger Burger recipe is a delicious take on KFC Zinger Burger. I was craving a burger and decided to make it at home.

I searched online, on how to make a KFC like burger. After some research, I combined a few different recipes, including my sister’s. Then I substituted ingredients so that my children can enjoy it too.

Preparing the Chicken Fillets

For the burger patties, I used 4 chicken fillets. I cut them in half like a butterfly to reduce the thickness making eight pieces out of the four fillets. Then if you want smaller patty cut them width wise to make two pieces so in total you get 3 to 4 pieces out of a single fillet.

Allergy Friendly Ingredients

🍔 Gluten Free: You can use gluten free flour for coating the chicken fillets and use your favorite gluten free brand for the buns or if you cannot find buns then gluten free bread is a good alternative.
🍔 Dairy Alternative: Substitute cheese with vegan cheese slices or simply leave them out.
🍔 No Eggs: Use a dairy free milk of your choice or water to dredge and coat the chicken. I used water as this was something new that I learned and so wanted to try how it goes.

Allergyfriendly Chicken Zinger Burger Coating

So as I mentioned above I coated the chicken with gluten free flour, this step has to be repeated twice. First, you dredge the chicken in flour then dip it in water and then dredge it again with flour. This step is important for the coating to stick to the chicken fillet and make it crispy when frying.

When frying, resist the urge to keep turning the fillets or moving them a lot as that will break the coating.

Serving the Allergyfriendly Chicken Zinger Burger

Serve this with your favorite toppings, condiments, and sides such as french fries or my Homemade Smilies or even Cheesy Spicy Potato Wedges.
